Melissa, one of our more senior students in the Construction program, recently was awarded a $1,000 OSAC scholarship through Angelina and Pete Costanzo. "When I found out about my scholarship award, I was in shock and excited about it at the same time," she said. This scholarship may be applied for course work at any 1- or 2-year post secondary school as long as Melissa is enrolled for at least half-time.
She is planning to use it for math and science classes at Clackamas Community College so she can take care of the pre-requisites for an apprenticeship in Eugene, OR as Heavy Duty Repairer (Mechanic). Her longterm goal is to open a repair shop with her father to repair motorcycles, ATVs, and the like. We're very excited that Melissa has been given this opportunity. She certainly has earned it!
