Leadership on a larger scale

Last week two of our students had the honor of representing PYB at YouthBuild USA's Conference of Young Leaders in Washington, DC. By all accounts, Sergey and Matt had a great time and impressed the heck out of a lot of impressive people.

Matt and Sergey were selected to attend because they are both outstanding leaders on the jobsite and in the classroom. The four-day conference allowed these guys to meet with over 100 YouthBuild students from around the country. All participants took part in classes and workshops designed to help students take their leadership skills beyond their local community in an attempt to make positive change on a larger scale. Matt and Sergey also had the opportunity to meet with Oregon's House and Senate leaders to share their personal stories of how PYB has positively impacted their lives.
